Welcome to the City of Holyoke Police Department

The Holyoke Police Department is working very hard to reduce crime and impact violence in this industrious Western Massachusetts city.  The outstanding efforts of the men and women of the police department have resulted in a reduction in crime over the last two years.  Through the use of innovative initiatives and working with other city, state and federal agencies, the District Attorney’s office, and the United States Attorney’s office, the Holyoke Police Department has impacted crime and enhanced the quality of life of our residents.

Under the direction of Mayor Alex B. Morse and the City Council, the members of the Holyoke Police Department are making Holyoke a safer place to live, work, and visit. Thank you for visiting our web site and our city.

PSA on Drive Sober Campaign for this Holiday Season

 "BE SAFE BE SEEN"

Bicycle and pedestrian injuries and fatalities are a critical national and local safety concern. From 2005-2010, 2,000 bicyclists and pedestrians were injured in Massachusetts and 420 persons died while walking on or near Massachusetts roadways.

The Highway Safety Division created the “Be Seen Be Safe” campaign, emphasizing safety tips and traffic regulations for pedestrians and bicyclists, as well as to alert drivers. As part of this campaign, and to augment your efforts, we have created a PSA video that educates viewers on safety precautions for bicyclists and pedestrians. If disseminated, we believe that the PSA will help reduce accidents, injuries and fatalities.

Our "CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER" Officer Joey L. Jones can be contacted via e-mail at off.jones@holyokepd.org. Officer Jones is a direct liaison with the Holyoke Board of Health and is working diligently on quality of life issues within the City of Holyoke.

The Holyoke Police department has partnered with the website "GetCrashReports.Com" which will allow anyone involved in a reported crash within the City limits to obtain a copy of their crash report on-line. Effective April 22, 2013,  we are submitting our crash reports.. A convenient link has been added to this page. Please take a look at the site.
